Quality is the hallmark of Breyer Polyclinic.  

Breyer Polyclinic provides professional services in medical-biochemical, microbiological-parasitological, and cytological analyses.  

We honor the trust of our clients by offering the highest level of professional health care and building lasting relationships based on mutual cooperation in dealing with any potential health issues our clients may have.

Accuracy of results

At Breyer Polyclinic, great importance is attached to quality management. Therefore, from the first day of the laboratory's operation on 01.04.1997, we have been implementing a series of procedures to ensure a high level of service. The quality of analytical procedures is an important part of the overall work quality and is checked in two basic ways:

1. Daily internal quality assessment of all measured parameters is done by measuring samples with a known level of the measured parameter instead of the patient sample, but in exactly the same way. These control samples are commercial, meaning they can be obtained from licensed manufacturers. The known results are declared for a specific method, reagents, and analyzer used, and they are reliable, truly reflecting measurement accuracy. The obtained result must match the declared result. If the result is not within the set values, the reason is investigated, analyzers and reagents are checked, and the measurement process is repeated until the required values are achieved. Only then are patient samples measured.
2. External assessment of the quality of work for all measured parameters is done periodically, at precisely set time intervals. These checks are conducted by organizations that are trained and authorized to carry them out, according to an agreement and for a substantial fee. They work by taking samples of unknown concentrations of the measured parameters (usually sent by mail), placing them in the device just like a patient sample, and then sending the results to the quality control organizer. The final evaluation comes after the review of the received results, roughly about a month later. The goal is to get measurements that match those obtained in the so-called reference laboratory, meaning the absolutely correct values. For all results within the allowed deviations, certificates are issued. Since these external quality controls are carried out simultaneously in several hundred laboratories, receiving a certificate is a sign of good work quality and proof that the laboratory follows all good laboratory practice guidelines. In December 2011, we concluded our long-term effort to further improve our work quality – our laboratory was accredited according to the highest global standard for laboratory work, HRN EN ISO 15189.

Accreditation

Since December 2011, the Breyer Medical-Biochemical Laboratory has been accredited to operate according to the top international standard for laboratories: HRN EN ISO 15189. Since 2013, the medical-biochemical laboratory of the Breyer Polyclinic has also been accredited to this standard.  

In addition to work organization, this accreditation covers biochemical and hematological analyses (check the list to see which ones).
